January 2013 Trestle Board
Greetings Brethren,
I am honored and humbled by your decision to elect me as Master for 2013. It is my sincerest desire to live up to the excellent example set by Wor. Bro. Ron Childress.
On December 6th, Bro. Tim Lewis was raised as our newest Master Mason. Thank you to all the brethren who assisted with the Master Mason degree. I would like to give special thanks to Wor. Bro. Dave Weaver for his exemplary lecture and Rt. Wor. Bro. Joey Schiebel for his special assistance with the degree. If you have not yet met our youngest Master Mason, I strongly encourage you to find him at our next stated.
The 168th Grand Master of Masons in Virginia, Most Worshipful Louis Kerford Campbell, will make his official visit to the 8th Masonic District on January 26th at 6:00pm. The location will be at Independence Christian Church, 14023 Independence Rd. Ashland, Va. 23005. Please contact me for tickets. The tickets are $20.
Thank you Wor. Bro. Tom Wright, Wor. Bro Ron Walters, and Rt. Wor. Bro Wayne Brooks for cooking an excellent oyster dinner for our December stated. The meal was fantastic. Sharon Sampsell, Bethel Guardian for Bethel 16, Job’s Daughters International gave an informative presentation on the activities and importance of Job’s Daughters. If you have a daughter, granddaughter, or niece between 10 and 20 years of age, please take a moment to visit www.jdiva.org and learn more about the Jobies.
If anyone knows of someone who is sick or needs assistance, thoughts or prayers: please do not hesitate to inform Bro. Al Clow our Lodge Sick Committee Chairman. Looking out for one another is not a one person job; it is the duty of every Master Mason.
Finally, brethren, we are bringing back dinners before the stated communications. The cost of the meal will be $10 per plate. This month’s meal will be roast beef and mashed potatoes with a special desert. I look forward to seeing you at dinner.
Fraternally,
Andrew G. Coelho, WM
