Greetings Brethren, It’s hard to believe that February is nearly over. I would like to start making a fraternal visit to another district lodge once per month. If anyone is interested in traveling to other lodges in the district please let me know. If you have not visited any of the district other lodges in sometime, now would be an excellent time.

The 169th Grand Master of Masons in Virginia, Most Worshipful Wayne Sawyer Flora, will make his official visit to the 8th Masonic District on Saturday April 5th at 7 PM. It will be a TILED, CALLED and JOINTcommunication of the district in Kilwinning Crosse Lodge No. 2-237. If you would like to attend the tickets are $10 each. Reception will start at 6 PM with finger food provided by the Eastern Star. Please let me know if you will be attending so I can provide a head count to the District Deputy.

We will be doing a cleanup of the lodge this month in preparation for the Grand Masters official visit. I would like to schedule it for the morning of Saturday March 15th. If you are available to help please let me or one of the other lodge officers know.

If you have not paid your 2014 dues, please contact the Lodge Secretary (Wor. Andrew Coelho) as soon as possible so that he can close those out. He has your new dues card. If you would like you can mail a check to the lodge P.O box listed above and we will mail you your new dues card. Just a reminder that the 2014 dues are $130.00.

If anyone knows of someone who is sick or needs assistance, thoughts or prayers: please do not hesitate to inform Bro. Al Clow our Lodge Sick Committee Chairman. Looking out for one another is not a one person job; it isthe duty of every Master Mason.

Finally, our local Eastern Star Chapter will preparing our meal once again. The cost of the meal will be $10 per plate. This month’s meal will be lasagna, garlic bread, salad, and dessert. I look forward to seeing you at dinner.

Fraternally,
Charles R. DeRemer, WM
