Brethren,

Our Stated Communication is this upcoming Monday, June 14th, at 7:30 PM

I will be out of town for this meeting, but I’m sure that everything will go smoothly under the steady hand of our Senior Warden.   Also, I’ve heard that at least two Lodges are planning fraternal visits, so you all should have a great time.

There will be no dinner at the Lodge prior to the meeting.   But I encourage you all to meet at the Mexican restaurant on Main St prior to the meeting, if possible.   The Eastern Star is planning to begin serving dinners at our September stated meeting.

Last Monday night, we conferred our first Entered Apprentice Degree in over a year.  Bro. Huey Allen did a fantastic job in the East.  And Wor. Dave Bennett, master of Spotsylvania Lodge No. 26, gave an excellent lecture.   I can’t tell you have good it felt to get back to work on degrees after such a long layoff.

Our next practice is next Monday, June 21st at 7:00 PM.  We’ll be working on the Fellowcraft degree.  Whether you are an officer, a new member, or an existing member interested in getting involved, you’re invited to come.

Congratulations to Wor. Bro. Mike Beal and Bro. Jeff Martin on attaining the 32nd degree at the Scottish Rite!  While pandemic rules made for an abridged ceremony, it was still a fruitful and educational day.

Finally, I recently realized that I haven’t been updating the website with the Trestle Boards.  So I spent part of the morning uploading these old email messages to the website.   And honestly, re-reading through the last two years was unexpectedly difficult.  These last two years have been rough on all of us.  Everything was happening on an incremental level, so it’s hard to appreciate or recognize in the moment.   But man – reading through the timeline is a slap in the face.

I know some of you are going through tough times.  You may not even realize how much these last couple of years have damaged you, but you know something isn’t right.  If that’s you, give me a call.  I don’t have any answers for you.  But I’ll listen.  And if that’s a little too touchy-feely, then come to meetings and practices.  Be around your Brothers.  I promise you a little bit of normalcy will help.

      Fraternally,
      Andrew Coelho
