Passing of Worshipful Brother Nelson Smith

We are saddened to inform our brethren of the passing of Worshipful Brother Nelson Smith, past master of Kilwinning-Crosse Lodge No. 2-237 for the 1964 Masonic year.  A funeral service was conducted in Mechanicsville at the Woody Funeral Home on Monday, January 22, 2015 at 6:00pm.  Masonic honors were bestowed on our past brother by Worshipful Brother Terry Bullock.  Worshipful Smith was our oldest living past master.

It is during these events that we reflect not only on our own mortality, but on the heritage of our fraternity and the meaning of it’s tenets that extend beyond our own legacies and extend towards a loftier object, both earthly and supernatural.  We pay the last tribute of respect to our brothers to honor their memories and in that, their contribution to the worshipful history of our fraternity.  Thank you to all brethren that were able to support Wor. Bro. Nelson Smith’s funeral.
