March 2013 Trestle Board

Greetings Brethren,

One of my main goals for this year is to strengthen the fraternal bonds in our lodge. To help me accomplish this, I ask each of you to consider what you can do for this lodge and our small community of brothers.

There are numerous ways you can support your lodge outside of the stated meetings. I’m looking for volunteers to push financial paperwork for a lodge charity fund, drivers willing to pick up our older members, Child ID workers, blood drive workers, and more. If any of these interest you or if you want to start up a lodge project of your own, please contact me by phone or email.

At our stated communication on February 11th, The District Deputy Grand Master for the 8th Masonic District, Right Worshipful Larry Spencer Ball made his official visit to the Kilwinning-Crosse lodge. My officers and I were honored by his visit. And I was especially grateful for the large crowd in attendance of both visitors and members.

On February 9th, Wor. Bro. Ron Chidress, Bro. Chuck DeRemer and Bro. Tim Lewis joined me at our first Lodge Field Day of the year. These brethren scrubbed toilets, cleaned out cabinets, mopped floors, and all manner of tough jobs. If you run into one of them, please remember to thank them for their hard work.

Finally, brethren, I invite you to join us for our next meeting on Monday, March 11th at 7:30pm. We will have dinner at 6:30pm at a cost of $10 per plate.

If it’s been a while and you’re feeling a bit rusty, come by at dinner time and we’ll run through everything you will need to know.
