October 2013 Trestle Board

Greetings Brethren,

First off, I’d like to thank all those brethren who came out in support of our latest EA degrees. For those of you
unable to attend, on September 19th we initiated Bro. Steven Mitkowski and Bro. Robert Swift as Entered
Apprentices in our lodge. Bro. Joe Pack did an excellent job presiding over both degrees in the East. A special
thanks to Bro. Charlie Sutton of Fredericksburg No. 4 for giving the lecture.

The Bowling Green Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday October 19th. We will be setting up a Child
ID station at the lodge. The Festival lasts from 9am to 4pm. We’ll splitting it up into a morning and afternoon shift.
If you can work either shift — or just for a part of the day — please contact me.

We will also be running a Child ID booth at The Carmel School’s Fall Festival on Saturday November 2nd.
This one runs from 11am to 4pm. Please contact Bro. Tim Lewis if you can help out.

Next month’s stated meeting will be Move-Up Night for the lodge officers. Please come out and support Bro.
Chuck DeRemer and the rest of your officers as they move up to their next station for the night.

I am still in need of a new chairman for the Blood Drive Committee. If you’re interested, please contact me.
I’ll do everything I can to ease you into the position and give you support.

A quick update on the lodge budget. As you know, we had to replace the air conditioner at the lodge, wiping
out our building fund and a good deal of our operating account. A few of our members have generously donated to
help make up this loss, but we are still thousands of dollars short of our goal. If you haven’t already done so, please
consider making a one-time donation to help the lodge recoup our losses.
