Greetings Brethren,
I am honored by your decision to elect me as Master for 2014. It is my desire to live up to the excellent example set by our Past Masters. My only desire for this year is to increase attendance at our stated communications.I look forward to an outstanding year and hope to meet some of you at our meetings.
The 169th Grand Master of Masons in Virginia, Most Worshipful Wayne Sawyer Flora, will make his official visit to the 8th Masonic District on Saturday April 5th. It will be a TILED, CALLED and JOINT communication of the district in Kilwinning Crosse Lodge No. 2-237. More information will be provided when available.
Thank you Wor. Tom Wright and Rt. Wor. Wayne Brooks for cooking an excellent oyster dinner for our December stated. The meal was fantastic. I would also like to thank Rt. Wor. Allen Clark for assisting Wor. Ron Childress with the exemplary installation of our officers.
If anyone knows of someone who is sick or needs assistance, thoughts or prayers: please do not hesitate to inform Bro. Al Clow our Lodge Sick Committee Chairman. Looking out for one another is not a one person job; it isthe duty of every Master Mason.
Finally, brethren, our local Eastern Star Chapter has agreed to prepare the meals for our stated communicationson a trial bases. The cost of the meal will be $10 per plate. This month’s meal will be chili, cornbread, and salad. Ilook forward to seeing you at dinner.
