April 2013 Trestle Board
Greetings Brethren,
As most of you know, my main goal for this year has been build the active participation in our lodge. While Kilwinning-Crosse has nearly a hundred members on our roles, I’ve seen less than a few dozen of our brethren step foot in the lodge since I was raised.
So for the May stated meeting (May 13th), we will be having a Bring a Brother Night. Before the meeting, we will give these brethren a chance to meet the lodge’s current line of officers and “dust the rust off” the work needed to sit in a Master Mason’s Lodge.
But brethren, I need your help with this. If you know a brother who hasn’t been in the lodge for a while, please invite them to come.
Rt. Wor. Tom Lewis has informed me that there are still quite a few brothers who have not yet paid their 2013 dues. This cost of this year’s dues is $130. Please mail your check to P.O. Box 38, Bowling Green, VA 22427.
I’m still looking for volunteers to push financial paperwork for a lodge charity fund, drivers willing to pick up our older members, Child ID workers, blood drive workers, and more. If any of these interest you or if you want to start up a lodge project of your own, please contact me by phone or email.
Finally, brethren, I invite you to join us for our next meeting on Monday, April 8th at 7:30pm. We will have dinner at 6:30pm at a cost of $10 per plate.
